Frequently Asked Questions

Currently Encode Club offers two types of bootcamp courses: Web3 bootcamps and AI bootcamps.
Our regular Web3 bootcamps are: Solidity Bootcamp, Expert Solidity Bootcamp and the ZK Bootcamp.
Meanwhile, we currently offer the following AI bootcamps: AI Foundation, AI Bootcamp and the zkML Bootcamp (which is a mix of Web3 and AI).
Aside from these regular bootcamps, we sporadically also offer bootcamps focused on various networks and languages, like our long-running Solana-focused bootcamp.

Their duration varies depending on the curriculum, but they are usually somewhere between four and eight weeks long. Furthermore, each our bootcamps consist of daily 90-minute sessions running Monday-Thursday, with the exception of the AI Foundation course which runs once a week only.

Aside from attending all or most of the sessions, you will be required to work on homework assignments and submit a completed team project at the end.

Yes, all of our bootcamps are free. However, our Web3 bootcamps require a paid deposit which is returned to you upon successfully completing the course, i.e. after satisfying the attendance criterium for the bootcamp.
For AI bootcamps, we don’t require a deposit, but nevertheless expect constant involvement or you will not get a certificate of completion.

When processing applications, we will take into account your previous experience as gauged from your GitHub and LinkedIn profile. Make sure to polish those up!

Yes, all of our bootcamp graduates get a certificate of completion, and everyone else who attended but didn’t graduate gets an attendance certificate.

A regular cohort will consist of 50-100 people and it will be divided into approximately ten teams that will work together on projects and homeworks.

Please stay patient! We always want to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance at entering a cohort, so the process may take some time. Even if you haven’t been accepted, you will get a notificaion email.

If you’ve been accepted, your acceptance email also contains further instructions for paying the deposit and/or confirming your spot. After you’ve completed this step, you will be onboarded (sent a calendar invite and added to the relevant Discord channels).

If you send your deposit to a wrong address, on a wrong network or in a wrong currency, we can’t guarantee that we will be able to return your deposit. The instances of this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

We use Discord as the main venue of communication between bootcamp attendees. Make sure to join our server here and once you’ve confirmed your bootcamp spot you will be added to the dedicated bootcamp channels along with all of your classmates.

All of our sessions are recorded, and after each bootcamp sessions you will get access to the recording. Aside from this, you will be provided with lecture notes, code examples, slides and similar kinds of materials used by the bootcamp teachers.

Our regular bootcamps are taught by Laurence Kirk of Extropy.io and by Matheus Pagani of Venture Miner, though other teachers might pop up from time to time depending on the type of bootcamp.
Aside from them, each bootcamp sees a roster of guest lecturers from our sponsors do sessions on various pertinent and interesting topics!

It depends. Our regular bootcamps usually happen once per quarter, while some of the specific ones may happen only once or in some other intervals.
