After finishing the Expert Solidity Bootcamp, I was contacted by Encode's recruitment lead for a 1:1 interview. Shortly after that, they facilitated the interview and meeting with my current colleagues. And that is the short story of how I became a pufferfish! 🐡

I enjoyed participating in one of Encode's Bootcamps. Moreover, that led to me working together with Laura from Encode's Talent team, who greatly matched me with the founder of Repyh Labs!

Laura and the Encode team were instrumental in helping me identify potential Web3 companies to join. I was torn between wanting to be a product leader and an individual contributor, but Laura managed to find a role that encapsulated the best of both worlds. While I went through several interviews that weren't facilitated by Encode, the role I ultimately accepted came through Laura's recommendation. The job was outstanding and eventually led to a co-founding opportunity.

The Encode team was amazing. I had an initial phone call with the team to understand who I was and what type of opportunity would be a good fit for me. Within a few days I had multiple opportunities lined up and within the week I had a job offer and had accepted at Ambire Wallet. They truly took the time to understand me and they have a depth of knowledge and network within web3. It's been an amazing project and job, I'm very grateful to the Encode team.

I was offered a few Web3 companies to speak to based on my interests and past experience. Encode helped me to talk to teams by introducing them to my candidacy and sending me some descriptions of the company for my preparation. It was a great experience for me because Laura is so different from other recruiters I encountered. She first made sure that she knows what I’m expecting, what I want to work with and then we started to work together. Recruiting this way made me feel like we are looking for the job for me and not just for an employee for a job. It may not sound like a big deal but it is. Another great value of recruitment with Encode was that the job Laura offered me to interview for was tailor-made to my requirements and desires.

If you are being offered someone that can help you with your CV, that knows about web3, has connections to find you a job and all that for free, why would you not accept it? I was talking with other independent recruiters as well but the most effective one was Encode. All that anxiousness you get from trying to prepare by yourself gets relieved because now you have a person beside you that knows the best way to conduct and present yourself. She will also help you decide what you want to do.

From the recruitment perspective, everything was quick and smooth and I would recommend it to everyone. And I say that from experience, as I was approached by recruiters before, but their recruitment process was much slower. So this is one of the better experiences I have had and I’m really grateful for the opportunity.
